Wer kennt nicht das Gefühl, das Richtige sagen zu wollen, aber die Wörter wollen einfach nicht herauskommen. Besonders in einer Fremdsprache kommen die richtigen Vokablen nicht immer zur richtigen Zeit. Wie gut wenn Sie einige Phrasen parat haben, mit denen Sie sich über die Zeit retten können, bis Sie das passende Wort zur Hand haben.
Natürlich macht der Gebrauch dieser Floskeln Ihr Englisch idiomatischer und flüssiger und ist deswegen auch angebracht, wenn Sie genau wissen, was Sie sagen wollen:

| Asking for opinions:

| Agreeing:
I absolutely agree/ I second that opinion…/ I cannot agree more/ that’s what I think, too… |
| Disagreeing:
I disagree/ I beg to differ/that’s not exactly true../that’s not how I see it…./ you’ve got to be kidding |
| Partly agreeing:
I don’t completely agree with you…/ I see your point / there’s some truth here, but…/ Ok. I’m with you, however….. |
| Saying something in a another way:
Well, let me put this in another way…/ maybe I should look at it from a different angle…/ maybe I should clarify… |
| Checking if someone has understood you:
Are we on the same page…/ are we clear…/ does that make sense for you…/ do you know what I mean? |
| Checking if you understood someone:
Did I understand that correct…/ so in your opinion…/ so this is your idea of… |
| Interrupting someone:
May I come in here…/may I interrupt here…/hold on for second… |
